Martin old Committee gets ”higher pitch”, doesn’t it

But it is crazy.

If I have seen such a guy playing trumpet like that, I would offer my little favor, saying "Aren't you playing trombone? No? Then, you need to pull that back, like 1 cm at the longest."

So, I've practiced with a conventional, something considered reasonable, length. Then, the straight tone coming out of my Martin gets more than 0.5 higher. The sound expected G becomes lower A.

As you know, you could manage +/- 0.5. But not more.

I've thought there must have been something wrong with me.

But now I'm confident. I've heard my master had the same problem with mine.

It is the right set up. 4cm or so. Looks joking.

Chris Botti plays Old Martin with a longer mouthpiece. One of my possible excuse.

I will get along with this guy, as it is, not considering it has to be fixed or educated.

If you see me, don't get me wrong, I'm playing trumpet :)
